Hastings Council Still pushing for Port - Ignoring Eco Tourism & Aquaculture Potential

The Local Hastings Council are still trying to push to develop the Port of Hastings.  This appeared in the Local Leader News Paper 16/12/14.  Such a shame they cannot lobby for more investment in sustainable development or see the potential for the eco tourism if the Port was decommissioned and re invented as something which really could be a more long term viable industry which could tap into the already successful Eco Tourism business on Phillip Island.

We will work closely with our colleagues and ensure that the Infrastructure studies show the fantastic potential for Commercial Fisheries and Aquaculture which would sit much more suitably with the amazing food producers and hospitality industry already established in Westernport.
